Mind/Body Medical Institute to Participate in Medicare Lifestyle Modification Program Demonstration
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has invited the Mind/Body Medical Institute's Cardiac Wellness Program to participate in multi-year Medicare Lifestyle Modification Program Demonstration.

The M/BMI is pleased to announce the opening of its first international affiliate.
It is located in Verbier, Switzerland at the Executive Health Institute (EHI), a stress management organization for corporate executives that addresses business, lifestyle and health issues.

M/BMI Receives Major Grant from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
The Mind/Body Medical Institute recently received an award of $2.7 million over three years from The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to investigate the scientific basis of the relaxation response (RR).

Study of Monks' Meditation Practice Underway
In an extension of ground breaking research conducted by M/BMI President Herbert Benson, M.D. an his associates more than two decades ago, Dr. Benson and a team of physicians and scientists traveled to Normandy, France in August , 2001 to begin new study into Buddhist monks' practice of g tum-mo yoga.
