The Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine is a non-profit scientific and educational organization dedicated to research, teaching, and clinical application of mind/body medicine to promote its integration into all areas of health.

1967 - Dr. Benson begins work at Harvard Medical School
1975 - Publication of The Relaxation Response
1980 - Clinical Programs First Offered at Beth Israel Hospital
1988 - Establishment of Mind/Body Medical Institute
2006 - Establishment of Benson-Henry Institute

The Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine is a nonprofit organization operating under the 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. It is governed by a board of trustees.

The Benson-Henry Institute is funded by revenue from billable medical and educational services as well as through grants and private donations. All contributions are tax-deductible. Its research programs are funded by U.S. government grants, foundations, and private individuals.
