Current openings:

Trainer Education Initiative: 10 hours/week with the potential to increase

Background: The Mind/Body Medical Institute's Education Initiative (EI), which began in 1989, is a natural extension of the Institute's pioneering clinics. Concerned by the physiological, emotional and behavioral effects of stress on today's youth, the M/BMI staff began to develop and test stress management programs for students from kindergarten through college as well as school staff. The EI curriculum includes instruction in techniques to elicit the relaxation response, stress management approaches, and cognitive behavioral interventions.

Job Summary: Primary responsibility will be to teach faculty, staff, and students in the EI curriculum, which helps participants to deal with stress, promote wellness and enhance performance. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Organize and provide training to schools
  • Create and prepare materials as needed
Qualifications:
  1. Health or school professional with strong understanding of how to work with students and school staff.
  2. Background in mind/body interventions and experience in school-based health initiatives preferred.
  3. Advanced degree preferred.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  5. Excellent presentation skills and adept at public relations.
  6. Competence in written and oral communication skills essential.
  7. High degree of organization and attention to detail.
  8. Professional with strong administrative skills and experience.




Psychiatrist: 10 hours/week

Job Summary: Primary responsibility will be to provide cognitive behavioral therapy for adults and children as well as medication management. Additional responsibilities would include conducting group sessions of relaxation response-based coping skills in for children, ages 9-14. Qualifications:
  1. Strong understanding of mind/body principles.
  2. Background in mind/body interventions and experience preferred.
  3. Medical license
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  5. Experience working with children.
  6. Competence in written and oral communication skills essential.
  7. High degree of organization and attention to detail.
