"Our mind/body programs address the stress component that causes or exacerbates many of the health issues affecting woman today. As a result, we have found that our interventions are quite effective in improving their overall health."Eva Selhub, MD
M/BMI Medical Director
ESPECIALLY FOR WOMEN
Today, more than ever before, women are assuming multiple roles: career professionals, mothers, wives, parental caretakers, volunteers. And in such busy lives stress inevitably takes up residence. Stress overload can do more than make a bad day worse; unchecked, it can undermine your health and deter you from caring for yourself which, actually, is essential to your ability to take care of others.

At the Mind/Body Medical Institute, we know that stress can be the culprit in everything from a poor night's sleep to a racing heart to severe mood swings to even prolonged infertility.

Fortunately, women intuitively understand the mind/body connection and access our services in a 3:1 ratio to men. We offer mind/body infertility, perimenopause/menopause, and less stressful mothering programs especially for women. Lighten Up: Weight Management is co-ed and provides a great network of support for its mostly female enrollment.

In fact, all our medical programs - cancer, medical symptom reduction, cardiac wellness - and services - chronic pain services, psychotherapy, yoga, nutrition counseling - are suitable for - and populated by - women. And be assured that we are especially sensitive to breast and gynecological cancer patients in our Mind/Body Program for Cancer.

By teaching you a combination of stress management, coping strategies, and healthy lifestyle behaviors, our programs and services help you take back control of your health…and your life.
