| With life expectancy now reaching beyond age 80, women can expect to live perhaps a third of their lives post-menopausally. Many report these years as a time of increased confidence and feelings of empowerment. However, the menopause transition can be a difficult one. Maybe you've endured night sweats, hot flashes, and especially severe PMS. Until recently, the only treatment mainstream medicine offered women reaching midlife was "one-size-fits-all" hormone supplements, now very controversial. Mind Over Menopause, our Mind/Body Program for Perimenopause/Menopause, provides self-care alternatives that relieve symptoms and lead women on the path to healthy behaviors that will last a lifetime.

We think you'll find the group format especially beneficial; many of our patients stay connected to fellow group members after the program ends and some even return to assist with subsequent groups.
If you cannot attend our weekly program, we also offer individual counseling/therapy visits and occasional workshops.
Program results demonstrated a greater than 50% reduction in hot flashes and night sweats. Research has shown that mind/body interventions also results in lower blood pressure, improved sleep, decreased depression, anxiety, and anger, and an increased sense of well-being.
