"...the greatest benefit of Lighten Up has been to learn how to take care of myself - exercising, eating smaller portions…meditating. I was able to lose 10% of my original weight…My favorite benefit? I was able to climb Mt. Monadnock two summers ago."Jerry Jacobs

Lighten Up Program
PROGRAM & BILLING INFORMATION
Lighten Up meets Monday evenings from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm. To participate in this program, you must have seen your physician for this condition within the past six months.

If your insurance plan requires a referral for outpatient services, you will need to request one from your primary physician. We will then communicate with your MDs office to obtain the referral.

Lighten Up includes three individual visits: an initial two-hour assessment divided into two visits and a discharge appointment. Additionally, there are 20 group visits (each two-and-one-half hours).

In most cases, billable claims are submitted directly to your insurance carrier as medical office visits. You will be responsible for a co-payment at the time of each visit if your plan requires one. There is a non-refundable self-pay fee, collected at the first weekly session, to cover the cost of sevices that are not billable to insurance. Please note that insurance coverage and reimbursement may vary.

In the rare instance where reimbursement is not available, the patient will be responsible for the cost of the program. Our office staff is available to assist you with billing and reimbursement matters.
